【摘要】:ThisEuropeanStandardspecifiesadeterminationofthebiochemicaloxygendemandofwatersbydilutionandseedingwithsuppressionofnitrification.Thisstandardisapplicabletoallwatershavingbiochemicaloxygendemandsgreaterthanorequaltothelimitofdetermination3mg/lofoxygenandnotexceeding6000mg/lofoxygen.Forbiochemicaloxygendemandsgreaterthan6000mgofoxygen/l,themethodisstillapplicable,buttheerrorscausedbythenecessarydilutionscaninfluencetheanalyticalqualityofthetestmethodandtheresultsaretobeinterpretedwithcircumspection.Inthisstandardthelimitofdetection,DL,isdefinedasDL=t0,95(f)·2·sB·1+1/n(1)wheresBisthewithinseriesstandarddeviation,t0,95(f)isthestudentt-value,withfisthedegreesoffreedomforthedeterminationofsBandnisthenumberofanalysisfordeterminationoftheblankinananalyticalseries,sBiscalculatedfromdeterminationsofrealsampleswithaBODcontentneartheestimatedDL.Incaseswheretheanalyticalmethoddoesnotrequireanyblankcorrectiontheterm1+1/n(2)isomitted.Theresultsobtainedaretheproductofacombinationofbiochemicalandchemicalreactions.Theydonothavetherigorousandunambiguouscharacterofthoseresultingfrom,forexample,asingle,well-defined,chemicalprocess.Nevertheless,theyprovideanindicationfromwhichthequalityofwaterscanbeestimated.Thetestcanbeinfluencedbythepresenceofvarioussubstances.Thosewhicharetoxictomicroorganisms,forexamplebactericides,toxicmetalsorfreechlorine,willinhibitbiochemicaloxidation.Thepresenceofalgaeornitrifyingmicroorganismscanproduceartificiallyhighresults.Itisabsolutelyessentialthattestsconductedaccordingtothisstandardarecarriedoutbysuitablyqualifiedstaff.AnnexAdescribesalternativeincubationperiods.AnnexBdescribesmultitesting,whichcanbeusedtoobtainenhancedprecisionortodemonstratethepresenceofsubstancestoxictomicroorganisms.
